So long and thanks for all the fish...

As I'm sure you've noticed, I haven't updated the site for quite some time. In fact, my last review was well over a year ago. A few things changed over the past year, cumulating in no more site updates.

The biggest is that I'm no longer an anime fan. My interest had been declining over the last few years, and I finally realized I'm just not into it anymore. This isn't to say I dislike anime. I just no longer get excited checking out the latest releases. Have seen hundreds of anime over the years, nothing seems fresh anymore. How many more anime about love triangles, giant robots and so on do we need? Everything seems so repetitive.

My general interest in films has also grown and replaced my anime viewing. Instead of hitting the local comic store for a few anime rentals, I'd go down to the local Rogers Video instead. I've seen a lot of classics, epics, and foreign films over the last year. And as a result, it's been over a year since I last watched an anime.

I'm not sure what's going to happen to the site for now. I'm still working on The Meta Anime Review Project. Visitors to that site may have noticed it got a face lift recently. Once MARP goes fully "live", I may migrate my reviews to that site and close this one down. In the mean time, it will stay up. People are still visiting, so I guess those reviews are serving a purpose.

I'd like to thank everyone who had kind words for me over the years. I know I didn't respond to every email I received, but believe me, they were nice to read. The not-so-kind words... Well, at least people were reading my reviews, even if they didn't always agree with them.

It's been fun, but it's time to move on. I'll still be working on the MARP site, though. So I won't be leaving fandom entirely.

Happy bidding!

Wow, another long stretch with no updates.

Not much of an update this time, but I am going to be moving soon and am selling off a bunch of my stuff to make things easier. This includes a chunk of my anime and manga collection, which I've started listing on eBay. Currently, I've listed the following titles for sale:
So, if you're itchin' for any of those titles, place a bid. I'll have more stuff up for sale soon.

December 1, 2003

Holy crap, it's December already!

Anyway, this is yet another update to verify my status among the living. Still no reviews, but I haven't given up on this site yet. It's just that other Real Life™ stuff has been getting in the way. I will try to get at least one new review up before the New Year. Hopefully. Maybe.

Just another update to confirm that I am still alive and kicking. Not kicking out any reviews, mind you, but still kicking.

I've been busy with some other web projects, including helping out THEM Anime Reviews get their web site in order. I've also been trying to keep the Meta Anime Review Project going. Can't say for sure when it will be up and running with a proper site, but it will happen.

I've got some almost-completed reviews in the works, but I can't say when they'll go up. I'll try to get at least one or two reviews up this month.
